About the Foundation
A nonprofit built for island opportunity.
IslandTech Foundation is an American Samoa–based nonprofit organization helping communities turn technology, knowledge, and partnerships into practical progress.
We created the Pacific Islands Innovation Center (PIIC) as our core platform for connecting local talent with technical expertise, education, funding pathways, and solutions designed for island conditions.
Our work is community-centered and partnership-driven. We strengthen—not replace—the organizations already serving our people, while building the local capacity needed for solutions to last.

The goal is to help nonprofit partners avoid underbudgeted technology and move smoothly from grant award to successful adoption.

A transparent partnership from application to implementation
IslandTech works with each nonprofit to translate its program goals into a technology plan, budget narrative, implementation roadmap, and measurable outcomes. When a grant is awarded, BethamTech can provide competitive procurement, ordering, deployment, warranty coordination, cybersecurity, training, and local technical support through its distribution relationships, including Ingram Micro.
Define the community need, eligible technology, outcomes, timeline, total cost, and sustainability plan.
Develop documented estimates and identify eligible manufacturer, public-sector, education, or nonprofit pricing.
After award and required approvals, BethamTech sources, configures, secures, deploys, and supports the solution.
A disclosed, grant-allowable program-support percentage may help fund IslandTech’s continuing nonprofit technology programs, while BethamTech earns only through its approved procurement and service scope.
Transparency commitment: Every role, fee, percentage, related-party relationship, quote, and selection method must be disclosed in the grant budget and partnership agreement and approved by the nonprofit and funder. Competitive procurement and conflict-of-interest requirements apply. No purchase is conditioned on using BethamTech, and discounts vary by vendor, product, program, and eligibility.
